Tree idea

We had to rethink our cafe/lounge-style stall idea because a) there were several other groups providing beverages so there is no need for us to provide tea on the side and b) due to limited space in the great hall we had to come up with something that would require less space.

Growing tree sculpture

Instead of having a lounge area where people build their own small creations from MDF shapes we would have one big sculpture/creation which people would add to making it grow bigger over the period of time the Market Palace is running. There would be a base 'tree' which would provide points to attach MDF shapes to. It might look something like the shape in the photo above (but a lot bigger - maybe shoulder height).

People would then choose parts from a pile of shapes and add them to the 'tree'. There would be a huge range of shapes and they would come together to create a unique, interesting, collaborative piece of artwork.

This is an example of how some of our cut out shapes might look and how they might come together.
We also considered whether or not we should turn this into a game and award prizes to the winners to add excitement and attraction to our stall.
